Food was high quality, staff was super friendly. We booked standard twin room that was complete with the beginnings of the Askham Hall estate, large TV, the bathroom as advertised.

The staff were not experienced, didn't expect that coming.

The breakfast was great; bangers and bacon.

Its location was particularly good and fab, near to the north lakes and excellent road network.

Had memorable stay for 2 nights with pleasant staff and particularly good location in the pub as a whole. The English breakfast was our favourite.

Well, it was a lovely stay for 2 nights. Its location was exceptionally nice and lovely, away from the main tourist areas, and in a very scenic area. The hotel was set only 1 km to Church of st Michael.  

Little place, great for weekend. Variety of amazing food for meals. Location short walk to McMillan mighty hike, excellent road network and Northern lakes. Besides, easy to get to Askham Hall Gardens and Cafe. What a really enjoyable stay, no complaints

Besides, the location was unbeatable and brilliant for our stay, within 15 minutes' walk of Lowther Castle Stead. We were greeted by the courteous staff.

Spacious room, brand new bathroom. Very clean beds and very attentive and efficient stuff. Exceptionally nice location with parking on site. Again, walking distance to Askham Hall Gardens and Cafe.

Overall it is a lovely little hotel and we liked the stay, the location was amazing in the lake district.

Great choice for trip. Absolutely great accommodation with pleasant setting close enough to bar/restaurant, Eden valley, and McMillan mighty hike. Wonderful staff and management. Early check-in, parking on site.
